The inspiration: atlas
In Central Asia, atlas (ikat) is more than a fabric — it is a celebration. For generations, artisans have tie-dyed yarns before weaving, creating flame-like patterns in jewel tones that seem to dance. Atlas was the fabric of weddings, of festivals, of a mother’s pride dressed on her daughter.
We grew up with these colors. We wanted our daughters to grow up with them too — not in a museum, but in their everyday magic.
From heritage to hemline
When we designed the Atlas Princess Dress, we asked a simple question: what if a little girl could wear her heritage the way she wears her imagination — lightly, joyfully, ready to twirl?
So we paired our signature atlas ikat print with the dreamiest ivory tulle, layered soft as clouds. A lace-trimmed bodice, sweet short sleeves, and a relaxed, comfortable fit that keeps up with birthday parties and family celebrations. Heritage in the print, princess in every twirl.
Her runway moment
On September 12, 2026, she walked the runway. At Once Upon a Runway: The Garden of a Thousand Tales — the children’s cultural fashion show presented by Cultura Events at Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens in Washington, DC — our little models carried centuries of craft down the garden runway.
And the audience saw what we see every day: tradition doesn’t belong behind glass. It belongs on a little girl, spinning in the sunlight.
That’s the story of this skirt: old soul, young heart.
